Back to analog was the idea behind “Lichtreise”, which was made in the course Graspable Maps 2011 of Till Nagel at the FH Potsdam.
The task was to visualize our travel itineraries. In cooperation with Luis Grass.

Spraylight
Some month ago i started some research on the topic “invisibility” for a class at my university. I experimented with laser, fog and light in general. Out of that the Spraylight was born.
The Spraylight is an Spraycan which transports light instead of paint to an special canvas. There is no computer or tracking system involved – everything is analog. Created in the course “Fläche Struktur” of Angelika Margull 2010 at the university of applied science potsdam.
HTML5 logo
just finish my research on how to make a raw html5 version out of my new logo.
must say: html5 is bad ass! to get the “multiply” effect in html5 working (used in photoshop for the 3 layers) i had to render each layer “offscreen” by using a renderToCanvas function. pretty hand function i must say. it renders a Canvas into an variable.
After that i used the context-blender library for the multiply / darken effect since the hmtl5 standart doesn’t inculdes it anymore.
In order to draw the shapes the mozilla doc center was a great source for information.

Winkellicht
Yesterday i felt like building my own special lamp. A few months ago i saw some special acrylic glass at a shop nearby, which can change colour depending on which angle it is viewed from. I was so fascinated by the material that i decided I needed to build something out of it. In addition I already have some skills in handling carton?? (you mean carbon??) which could be used to build the body of the lamp.
The “Winkellicht” is a lamp which interacts with you by changing its colour when you move around it and view it from different angles.

Real Beam Scan
fun with openframeworks: a 30 minutes test to see if it is possible to use opencv, a beamer and a ps3 eye cam in order to project make a realtime edge-detection scanner.
